Springbok Analytics (www.springbokanalytics.com) is seeking a dedicated and analytical data scientist to conduct medical image processing using artificial intelligence (AI). Springbok’s business model is focused on the processing and analysis of multi-contrast magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) data to develop advanced analytics of skeletal muscles throughout the body to inform precision medicine and provide clinical decision support tools for injury management and performance optimization programs for large, diverse populations. The successful Biomechanics Data Scientist candidate will have a strong work ethic, substantive data analytics skills, and the ability and interest to work with a team to develop and implement medical image processing algorithms using AI for registration, segmentation and analytical tasks. In addition, the Biomechanics Data Scientist will work closely with software developers and clinical collaborators to develop commercial products that can be used in clinical workflow.

Requirements
- PhD or MS with 3+ years’ experience in Biomedical Engineering or related field.
- Prior experience in, or substantive knowledge about, musculoskeletal biomechanics.
- Research experience in medical image processing using AI with publication records.
- Strong programming skills for robust and efficient algorithm implementation in one or more of Python, C, C++ and Matlab, etc.
- Familiarity with one or more open source or proprietary deep learning and medical image processing frameworks.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Exceptional work ethic and the ability to "roll up your sleeves" and work with team members in hands-on capacity.
