The Biomotion Research Engineer will be engaged in the full spectrum of research activities, including project planning and design, proposal writing, instrumentation and algorithm development, data collection, data processing/analysis, manuscript drafting and submission, and preparation of manuscripts and conference abstracts/posters/presentations. Current research includes knee/ACL injury, osteoarthritis and disorders of the shoulder, hip, knee and ankle with a strong focus on regenerative medicine.
Job Requirements:
- Master’s or PhD degree in mechanical or biomedical engineering (or Bachelor’s degree with extensive, relevant experience)
- Experienced with biomechanics/motion analysis techniques
- Strong knowledge of 3D kinematics/dynamics
- Required computer skills: Matlab, computer graphics (Python or C a plus)
- Desirable skills: 3D medical image processing (Mimics or similar software), 3D analysis (Geomagic or similar), musculoskeletal modeling (e.g. OpenSIM), statistics.
- Experience with electronic design and/or mechanical fabrication a plus but not required
- Must be currently eligible to work in the USA
