A PhD student position is available, starting September 2022, for the Interdisciplinary Movement Science Lab within the Rehabilitation Science PhD Program at the University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus.
The successful candidate will participate in research activities examining the effects of physical rehabilitation on muscle function and functional movement mechanics for two primary patient populations: 1) patients with lower limb joint arthritis and 2) patients with major lower-limb amputation.
You're invited to the 2021 Rehabilitation Science PhD Virtual Open House to learn more about our Rehabilitation Science PhD program at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus.
The Rehabilitation Science Program PhD program is a fully-funded program that covers the costs of tuition, fees, and a public transportation pass, along with a monthly stipend for all students. This allows them to focus on the program full time and to move on to their future careers in as little as 4 years. Teaching opportunities give students additional experience to further expand their skill-sets in academia. With faculty doing research in a variety of diverse topics, there is ample opportunity for our students to explore the field of Rehabilitation Science and develop an identity of their own within the broader academic community. The specialized area of study for this position will be Biomechanics.
The Interdisciplinary Movement Science Lab specializes in locomotion and movement analysis.
