Responsibilities
Duties of the role include but are not limited to:
- Undertaking, facilitating and leading research projects in line with the Surgeon General’s research strategy.
- Providing biomechanical assessment in support of clinical delivery implementing components of a Biomechanics Performance Laboratory and Computer Assisted Rehabilitation Environment (CAREN) high end system, including patient preparation, equipment setup, operation, analysis and reporting of findings to multidisciplinary teams.
- Undertaking non-research related duties at departmental level.
- Assisting the Clinical Research Manager (CRM) in the co-ordination of the day-day running of the Academic Department of Military Rehabilitation.
- Minimum MSc in relevant discipline to biomechanics (e.g. sports medicine, sports science, clinical biomechanics). Possessing or working towards a PhD is an advantage.
- Evidence of using 3-D motion capture technology.
- Evidence of using force-plate technology.
- Evidence of involvement in clinical research.
- Evidence of using specialist software (eg. MATLAB/Python, Visual 3D, SPSS).
- Evidence of ability to effectively communicate research findings and technical information.
