    Job Overview - Account Manager, Research

    The Account Manager, Research is responsible for research sales development (direct and indirect) in North America focused on customers which conduct and/or contribute to research in our field of human movement science (rehabilitation centers, universities, military institutions, etc.). The jobholder contributes to the growth of the company delivering exceptional customer service to existing customers and applying superior selling skills to develop and convert leads into sales to grow our existing customer base.

    Responsibilities (tasks & objectives)

    • Consultative selling of Motek systems to research institutions
    • Present and promote gait, balance and Virtual Reality solutions to leading researchers within industry
    • Develop sustainable relationships with customers and ensure high level of customer satisfaction
    • Be an active contributor to team via efficient and transparent communication including managing customers via our CRM
    • Build a strong team with your peers and management in the USA, Netherlands and Switzerland
    • Organize local events and exhibitions, and participate at symposiums and conferences
    • Build effective sales pipeline
    • Ability to meet or exceed quarterly/ annual sales quota



    Qualifications (skills, education & experience)

    • PhD or MSc in human movement sciences or biomedical/ biomechanical engineering
    • Experience with gait labs, motion analysis or Virtual Reality, preferably encompassing Motek equipment
    • Entrepreneurial mindset
    • Sales experience a plus
    • Willingness to travel up to 50%, including some weekends
    • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) required, with database management skills
    • Excellent communicator with natural leadership and customer focus
    • Dedicated to motivating and interacting with stakeholders on different levels
    • Strategic and analytical with ability to coordinate large projects
    • Strong team player with exceptional organizational skills
    • Outstanding presentation skills
