Postdoctoral Position in Rehabilitation Engineering Lab at Harvard Medical School & Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital

The INSPIRE Lab at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a highly motivated person for a postdoctoral research position.

The lab offers a highly interdisciplinary research environment composed of physiologists, clinicians, neuroscientists, and engineers. In addition to our primary research program, there will be a number of opportunities to interact and collaborate with faculty in the Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital.

The ideal candidate will help offer innovation, mentorship, and leadership in the lab and will be able to participate in several ongoing projects, as well as initiate their own line of discovery that aligns with the lab's mission.

Desired qualifications:

• Experience in animal and/or human neurophysiology research. Both are desirable but not required.
• Experience in motion capture and electromyography
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with an interdisciplinary team of engineers, clinicians, and patients with neuromuscular disease.
• Experience in robotics is a plus, but not required

The successful candidate will have a strong background in one or more of the following areas: neuroscience, rehabilitation, and/or engineering. Strong quantitative and experimental skills are required. The position is available for up to one year with an option to renew provided that adequate progress is made and that the project funding is continued.
