Shriners Hospitals for Children (SHC) in Greenville, South Carolina has a full-time, split- position, opening for a Physical Therapist in our Motion Analysis Center (MAC) and Rehabilitation Services. As a Rehab Physical Therapist, responsibilities include evaluation and therapy services, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transition of care, in an efficient, age-appropriate, and culturally sensitive manner. In alignment with the standards of practice of the professional organization, the PT would provide comprehensive, compliant, and safe clinical care, while demonstrating the philosophy of family centered care, with the assessment and treatment of inpatients and outpatients including infants, toddlers, school age, and adolescent. In the MAC, the PT is an integral part of a highly trained, multidisciplinary team that combines clinical and biomechanical expertise to assess children and adolescents with neurological and orthopaedic conditions. MAC responsibilities will include the clinical collection, analysis, interpretation, and communication of gait analysis data for treatment decision-making. Previous experience in quantitative motion analysis is strongly preferred

A graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program

Licensed in state of South Carolina
BLS certified or obtain within 3 months of employment
Must be able to bend and lift with assistance, sit/stand for over one hour at a time

Minimum of five (5) years' experience in clinical management of children with neuromuscular disorders or orthopedic impairments
Board certification in pediatrics, orthopedics, or neurology
Previous experience in quantitative motion analysis is strongly preferred

  • Knowledge, skills, and abilities in working with children at various levels of care.
  • Ability to work independently, work within a multidisciplinary treatment team, and collaborate and/or coordinate services with team members.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to interact effectively and sensitively with children and families of different developmental levels and cultural backgrounds.
