    Dear colleagues,

    at the St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences (in Austria) a post-doctoral position is available in our young research group # Motor Rehabilitation. Our research group focuses on innovative approaches using methods from the fields of applied biomechanics, machine learning and virtual reality to assist in therapy and diagnosis after diseases or injuries of the musculoskeletal system.     What you will be working on
    • You support the systematic and sustainable further development of the research group
    • You independently plan and write research proposals and papers
    • You independently take over the lead of research projects
    • You are responsible for the co-management and continuous further development of our Digital Health Lab
    • You are in charge of mentoring junior researchers and students in our team
    • You are involved in teaching for several study and further education programmes in German and/or English
    What we expect from you
    • Phd/doctorate in the field of natural sciences (e.g. physiotherapy, sports science, biomedical engineering)
    • Profound expertise in the areas of biomechanics and motion analysis
    • Expertise in the field of rehabilitation after injuries/disorders of the musculoskeletal system
    • Experience as R&D project head or at least in leading individual work packages.
    • Good programming skills in MATLAB and/or Python, very good knowledge of descriptive and inferential statistics
    • Experience with Vicon Nexus or comparable motion analysis systems
    • Desired, but optional: experience in the field of musculoskeletal modeling (eg. in OpenSim)
    • High interest in and motivation for preparing joint R&D projects for the group and applying for third-party funds
    • Joined-up thinking and creativity to create interdisciplinary solution strategies for rehabilitation
