This job for a GS-0601-13 will be a team member at the Naval Medical Center San Diego EACE research site with the following responsibilities:
- Serve as a staff scientist on multidisciplinary research teams to initiate original research through the generation of research grant proposals and formulation of research protocols.
- Apply comprehensive knowledge of the principles, theories, and practices of rehabilitation therapies, kinesiology, biomechanics, and engineering to design and execute methodologically sound studies.
- Conduct systematic, critical, intensive, investigation directed toward the development of new or fuller scientific knowledge related to musculoskeletal rehabilitation of traumatic extremity injuries.
- Disseminate findings of specialized studies for the advancement of clinical care through the consolidation of research findings and conclusions into completed products for publication.
- Publish completed products, from findings of specialized studies, in high impact scientific journals and oral presentations at national and international scientific conferences.
