The School of Engineering is seeking to appoint a Lecturer specialising in Biomechanical Engineering. The Lecturer will contribute to teaching in the School’s new Medical Engineering program and to teach into its well-established Mechanical Engineering program. Expertise in the use of advanced computer-aided engineering techniques in biological systems including finite element analysis is highly desired.
Through this role, the successful applicant is expected to:
- Foster increased cooperation between the University and allied research affiliates.
- Attract competitive external grant funding, including industry-based research support.
- Establish and build an independent research program to attract undergraduate and higher degree students.
- Embrace new teaching pedagogies (included blended and active learning) with a view to enhancing student experience.
- Work cohesively within a team environment to strengthen current and future research priorities of the School.
- Participate in activities to maintain academic standards and administrative effectiveness within the School.
