    We have an exciting new Postdoc position in the Mechatronics and Robotics Research Lab at the University of Massachusetts focused on prediction of human movement using machine learning.

    The skills, qualifications and experience required to perform the role are a PhD in kinesiology, computer science, or engineering with experience in machine learning to the prediction of physical dynamics. The candidate should have experience in one or more of the following areas: machine learning, robotics, human biomechanics, analysis of biosignals (such as surface electromyography).

    The Mechatronics and Robotics Research Lab at the University of Massachusetts Amherst is directed by Professor Frank Sup. We focus on the advancement of physical human-machine interaction. The core of the lab’s research is on human-centered mechatronic design in the development of rehabilitative technologies. The research topics span from wearable robotics such as intelligent prosthetics and exoskeletons, to advanced control structures and methodologies.
