    The Movement & Applied Imaging Lab in the Department of Physical Therapy & Athletic Training has an opening for a full-time Lab Manager/Engineer.

    The candidate will be responsible for biomechanics data collection and processing for ongoing studies, database management, regulatory approvals and organization, equipment/inventory/budgetary maintenance, quality assurance, recruitment and scheduling, and training/supervision of researchers. Opportunities to contribute to scientific presentations and publications exist for motivated candidates.

    Required qualifications:
    • Master’s degree in biomechanics, biomedical engineering, or related field
    • Experience with
      • human motion capture instrumentation including optical systems (preferably Qualisys) and force platforms for analysis of human motion
      • Visual3d programming
      • surface EMG instrumentation
      • human subjects in research
      • REDCap database
      • MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
    Experience with any of these is preferred - inertial motion capture, markerless motion capture, Matlab/Python programming, machine learning, supervision of research students

    Person hired must have excellent organizational and communication skills, enjoy working in a team, be willing to take initiative, and be comfortable with building/fixing devices.
