Dr. Lindsey Lepley (Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan and Director of the Comparative Orthopaedic Rehabilitation Laboratory and Co-Director of the Orthopedic Rehabilitation Biomechanics Laboratory) is looking for a talented and highly motivated student for a funded doctoral research position centered on understanding the underlying physiological responses to traumatic joint injury and developing optimized therapeutic interventions to improve patient outcomes in preclinical models.
Applicants should have a MS degree in biomechanics, kinesiology, biomedical engineering, or related field. Prior experiences in musculoskeletal imaging (MRI, microCT), programming (python, Matlab, R), and muscle biology are highly desirable. The ideal candidate should have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and thrive in both team and individual environments. The candidate must also have strong organizational and communication skills and maintain a high degree of accountability.
Starting Date: September 2022
Location: University of Michigan, Ann Arbor
