    The Department of Biomechanics at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) is seeking applicants to fill a graduate assistantship starting in Summer or Fall 2022. The selected individual will work with Dr. Kota Takahashi on a project involving below-knee prosthetics and lower extremity biomechanics during walking. The overall goal of this project is to improve rehabilitation and prosthetic prescription for individuals with below-knee amputation. The individual will gain experience in 3D motion capture technology (e.g., force plate, high-speed cameras), state-of-the-art robotics technology, and clinical biomechanics research. The individual will join a dynamic and interdisciplinary team consisting of biomechanists, engineers, certified prosthetists, and industry partners.

    Required Qualifications:
    • M.S. in Biomechanics, Engineering, Kinesiology, Neuroscience, or related field;
