This post-doctoral position is part of the THPCA2024 project, supported by the national research agency program “Programme Prioritaire de Recherche Très Haute Performance Sportive”, within the framework of the Olympic/Paralympic Games that will take place in Paris in 2024. The main objective will be to investigate power generation during rowing (on ergometer as well as boat). Using a standard biomechanical approach, the focus will be set on Core Stability, as well as the role of the trunk during power generation and transfer during rowing.
The post-doctoral fellow will work with the research group ‘Exercise, Training, Performance’, which belongs to the Laboratory DevAH (Development, Adaptation, Handicap) at Université de Lorraine in Nancy (https://bms.univ-lorraine.fr/fr/unit...on-et-handicap).
Main tasks:
- To determine the contribution of the trunk (kinematics and neuromuscular components)
- To understand the legs-trunk-arms kinetic chain
- To provide keys parameters related to performance and injury prevention to rowers and trainers
Skills and Expertise:
- Measurement techniques: kinetics (force transducers), kinematics (IMUs) and neuromuscular (surface EMG)
- High expertise in movement analysis, biomechanics and data analysis
- Write international paper and prepare/present congress material
- Work in cooperation with trainers and elite athletes
- Good level in French language will be appreciated
Salary: 2800€ (gross/month)
Position Start: March 2022 (recruitment possible up to June 2022)
