JOB SUMMARY: The Post-Doctoral Associate (PDA) is an industry post-doctoral position with a one (1) year term, with the option of extending for one (1) additional year. Upon satisfactory performance, the associate may be considered for a full-time role with MMI, supporting the company’s technical or business functions. The PDA provides consulting support for the Client Services (CS) and Technical Services (TS) departments. Primary responsibilities include internal and client-facing scientific consulting activities, such as development of summary interpretive reports, white papers, scientific publications and communications, and peer-reviewed literature searches to support scientific queries. The PDA will collaborate with staff from CS, TS, and other external consultants to produce comprehensive and technically-sound work products.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
PhD in biomedical engineering, life science, or related discipline from a top-tier university
Minimum 4 years’ experience in orthopedic and/or spine research
Strong track record of publishing high-quality work in peer-reviewed scientific journals
Demonstrated high-level of scholarly activity and scientific independence
Preferred: Experience with medical imaging and/or image processing (including X-ray, CT, and/or MRI)
Preferred: Prior experience or research in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare technology
