  • Postdoc Position in the Orthopaedic Rehabilitation and Biomechanics lab at the University of Michigan!

    The Orthopaedic Rehabilitation and Biomechanics Research Laboratory (https://www.kines.umich.edu/research...ics-laboratory) at the University of Michigan is looking for a talented and highly motivated applicant for a postdoctoral research position. The candidate will help to lead a clinical trial that seeks to test interventions to improve quadriceps strength and function after ACL injury and reconstruction. Work on other projects related to ACL injury and rehabilitation is also likely.
    A PhD, preferably in biomechanics, physical therapy, or athletic training, is required. The ideal candidate for this position has substantial experience in human subjects’ experiments involving testing with motion capture, muscle strength assessments, ultrasound, etc. Programming experience (e.g., LabVIEW, Matlab), knowledge of signal processing, advanced statistics, and excellent writing skills are desired and would be highly beneficial for this position. Experience with clinical trial research would also be valuable.
    In addition to the skills outlined above, ideal candidates should have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and must be able to excel in both a team and individual environment. Strong personal and communication skills are necessary to interact with patients, parents/guardians of patients, and
    physicians.
