The CBE Consultants team of scientists and engineers provides expert testimony in product and personal injury litigation matters; provides engineering consulting to clients, including insurance firms, law firms, and amusement park operators; and provide support for research projects.
CBE Consultants, Inc. currently has an opening for a Senior Engineer or Senior Associate in the area of injury biomechanics. We are seeking a detail-oriented associate to join our consulting team in our Media, Pennsylvania office. The primary focus of this position will be supporting the practice director and other staff with both consulting and research projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and directing the technical analysis of projects under the guidance of a senior consultant: reviewing and analyzing materials and information relating to particular projects; synthesizing and summarizing the analyses; performing research and biomechanical analyses; and preparing reports. This role involves a close support relationship with team members at CBE Consultants. The work may involve travel to project sites to perform field research, investigation, and analysis.
Masters’ degree + 5 years’ experience OR a Ph.D. +3 years’ experience in biomedical engineering, bioengineering, or mechanical engineering with strong background in human biomechanics is required.
Project management responsibilities include the coordination and completion of projects on time, within budget, and within scope. Oversee all aspects of projects. Set timelines and mileposts, assign responsibilities as necessary, and monitor and summarize progress of project. Prepare reports for external clients on the outcome of project analyses. The successful candidate will work directly with internal clients to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget. Rely on limited data, experience, and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. The successful candidate is deadline-driven and detail-oriented, and will direct and organize their own efforts to accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity is expected.
