We are currently seeking candidates in a variety of disciplines, including biomechanics, rehabilitation engineering, rehabilitation science, etc. for several OPEN RANK TENURE TRACK faculty positions in the Rutgers Biomedical and Health Science Unit, Newark, NJ.
We have recently opened a large 12-camera motion capture laboratory equipped with a conventional marker-based system, multiple embedded forceplates, EMG, IMUs. There is clinical data collection and analysis space located in the same laboratory and strength dynamometer located on the same floor in an adjacent room.
Salary is commensurate with experience. The tenure track faculty member’s primary responsibility (80-90% effort) is in conducting research to grow and sustain an extramurally funded research program. A small allocation of effort is towards teaching and service (10-30% maximum). Teaching may include mentoring of graduate students and post-docs. New investigators with current funding or funding potential are encouraged to apply, as well as experienced faculty with a history of extramural funding.
