Hello,
Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) is hosting a Virtual Immersion in Biomedical Engineering (VIBE) program this summer. VIBE is a free 8-week program aimed at providing a virtual (completely online) design experience to BME undergraduate students (3-5 hours/week). Students will participate in a team-based virtual BME design challenge, develop professional skills, and interact with WPI BME faculty.
WPI VIBE Program: June 6 – July 29, 2022
Apply here by May 25, 2022
Students can visit our website or sign up for the information session on May 20th, 2022
The VIBE program was launched in the summer of 2021 to increase inclusion and equity in BME. It is designed to allow students to work full time and still participate fully as we know that many students rely on funds earned over the summer. Over 350 applicants from 67 universities and 8 countries applied to the program and over 250 successfully completed the program. Final project videos of the 2021 student teams’ presentations can be viewed on YouTube here (over 65 videos, less than 4 min each).
Please circulate this among your undergraduate students. There is no cost to the students for the program, but they must complete 75% of the program to receive a certificate of completion.
Best regards,
Taimoor Afzal
