About the Role:
12 month role. Salary: £34,304 - £39,739
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic sports scientist to join the Vision and Eye Research Institute (VERI). VERI is part of the new School of Medicine and is a platform for world leading research multi-disciplinary research. You’ll work within a research team on a project that examines human movements in people with low vision, using the VICON human movement system. You will be expected to collect data on human movements write high quality journal papers and apply for additional research funding. With a PhD in in Human Movement Sciences, you must have research experience of human data collection using the VICON system and in data cleaning and programming for the VICON system. No previous experience in vision is necessary but an understanding of low vision will be an advantage. With excellent statistical and presentation skills, you will be able to critically analyse data using quantitative and qualitative techniques.
