Dear colleagues.
we are offering a W1 professorship with tenure track W2 "Data Analytics in Sports Science". The successful candidate will be appointed for three years with the option to renew for an additional three years after a successful evaluation. After six years, the position will become a permanent full professorship (W2). A doctorate with a focus on data analysis and a university degree in sports science, computer science, statistics or similar is required for employment.
The Institute for Sport and Sport Science is planning to establish a Master's program in Data Analytics in Sports Science, in which the professorship will be involved together with the sports medicine and exercise and movement science department. The TU Dortmund University has a strong focus on natural sciences and technologies with a particular research profile on data analysis, modelling and simulation that offers excellent opportunities for collaboration beyond the sports science disciplines.
