  • Postdoc in precision rehabilitation at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine (Baltimore, MD)

The Precision Rehabilitation Group at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is seeking a postdoctoral fellow to work on an interdisciplinary project that aims to improve our ability to deliver patient-specific rehabilitation. The Precision Rehabilitation Group (led by Drs. Ryan Roemmich, Pablo Celnik, Preeti Raghavan, Stephen Wegener, and Ciprian Crainiceanu) consists of faculty with expertise in physiatry, engineering, rehabilitation psychology, biostatistics, and data science. This project combines a large repository of clinical data with longitudinal measurements of whole-person function (e.g., physical activity, cognition, psychosocial function) to study trajectories of patient recovery and response to rehabilitation.

We seek a candidate with a PhD in biomedical engineering, computer or data science, neuroscience, kinesiology, physical therapy, or related fields; interested candidates with an enthusiasm for learning and thinking critically and creatively regardless of field are encouraged to apply. Strong programming and quantitative skills are preferred.

The position is available immediately, requires a two-year commitment, and is renewable contingent on performance and funding. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.

Applicants should send a CV and statement of research interests to Ryan Roemmich (rroemmi1@jhmi.edu). Please also feel free to contact Ryan with any questions regarding the position.
