  • Postdoctoral position in Wearable robotics @Chicago, USA

The Rehab. Robotics Lab invites applications for a postdoctoral research position.

The postdoctoral fellow will mainly work on the project - a robotic ankle-foot prosthesis control with biofeedback to maximize user comfort in Rehab. Robotics Lab (https://rehab-robotics.lab.uic.edu/) at UIC. This is a collaborative project with Dr. Matty Major at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center and Northwestern University.
The fellow will be co-mentored with Drs. Kim and Major.

Email Dr. Kim (myheekim@uic.edu) with your 1) CV, 2) cover letter, 3) pdf copies of three recent publications, and 4) contact information of three professional references. The applications will be reviewed as they are received.

    Duties
    • Wearable robot (robotic ankle-foot prosthesis emulator) control and robotic hardware maintenance/improvement
    • Evaluate the outcomes via controlled human subject experiments.

    Qualifications:
    • A Ph.D. in robotics, (bio)mechatronics, or computer science with experience in machine learning within 5 years.
    • Experience in wearable robot control and design
