Postdoc Opportunity [Spaulding Rehab Hospital and Harvard Medical School, Boston MA USA]
Dear Colleagues,
A post-doctoral fellowship is available within the INSPIRE lab at Harvard Medical School's Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. This position is funded through a Department of Defense-funded randomized clinical trial to study the extent to which combining two plasticity-promoting primers (acute intermittent hypoxia and transcutaneous spinal stimulation) may boost motor recovery in people with spinal cord injury (SCI).
The successful candidate will have a strong background in neuromechanics and physical rehabilitation. Strong experimental skills and a doctoral degree (e.g., DPT, PhD, MD) are required. The position is available for up to two years with an option to renew provided that adequate progress is made and that the project funding is continued.
The work will be conducted in an interdisciplinary research environment composed of physiologists, clinicians, neuroscientists, and biomedical engineers. In addition to the primary research program, there will be a number of opportunities to interact and collaborate with faculty in the Harvard Medical School, MGH, and Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital.
Interested candidates should submit their curriculum vitae and three references by September 1, 2022. Applications should be sent to:
Randy D. Trumbower, PT, PhD
