    Northern State University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Human Performance/Exercise Science in the Department of Sports Sciences. Responsibilities include teaching face-to-face and online undergraduate and graduate courses in a learner-centered environment, undergraduate/graduate research, mentoring graduate students, scholarly activity, and service to the university and community.

    Qualifications: Applicants with an earned doctorate in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, or a related field are preferred. ABDs who will complete their degree before the date of appointment will be considered. The candidate should be able to teach a wide variety of courses, including but not limited to Strength & Conditioning, Program Design, Nutrition, Motor Learning, Exercise Physiology, and Tests & Measurements.

    The Human Performance Lab at NSU is growing after receiving a Research and Development Grant. By the end of the Fall 22 the Human Performance Lab will have a new biomechanics lab with 8 Vicon motion capture cameras and two Bertec force plates along with a new Biodex System 4 Pro, Upgraded Biodex System 3, Polar Team Pro GPS sensors, metabolic cart with cycle ergometer, and more! Candidates should have relevant laboratory experience as the successful candidate will aid in the operation of the Human Performance Laboratory.
