The University of Illinois at Chicago Human and Sport Performance Laboratory (within the Department of Physical Therapy) is looking for a doctoral student beginning Fall 2023 for a fully funded 4-year position. The Department of Physical Therapy is housed within the College of Applied Health Sciences, which is located in the heart of the Illinois Medical District and is a top-ranked program in the United States. The PhD program is within UIC's Applied Health College and is in Rehabilitation Sciences (https://ahs.uic.edu/rehabilitation-s...ation-sciences).
A successful PhD candidate will have a background in kinesiology, biomechanics, athletic training, or another related health field with a passion for sport performance. Preference will be given to those who have a background in strength and conditioning and currently have their CSCS (certified strength and conditioning specialist with NSCA) or ATC.
