The Spine Biomechanics Laboratory at Texas Back Institute exists to investigate the biomechanical and neuromuscular risk factors associated with spinal ailments in an effort to define the most appropriate and effective treatment options.
This lab is a critical component in bridging the basic science of biomechanics and engineering with the clinical science of spinal care. The clinicians and scientists involved with the lab are uncompromising in furthering the treatment of spinal pathology and translating that knowledge into advanced care to for the patients we serve.
The Manager of the Gait Lab is responsible for the following: collecting, processing, and storing clinical motion analysis and pain data; the set up and calibration of motion analysis equipment; assisting with the coordination of field based research equipment, data and patients/subjects; maintaining and augmenting software for clinical care and research; programming new tools and analysis applications. The Manager oversees the operations of the Gait Lab, supervises staff, seek out, prepare and present research projects, actively seeks growth opportunity and partnerships to build patient volume and program.
