A PhD position is available in the Brain and Action Lab (Director: Dr. Deborah Barany) in the Department of Kinesiology at the University of Georgia, to start in August 2023. Our lab aims to understand the mechanisms of human goal-directed movement using a combination of behavioral (robotics, eye-tracking), neuroimaging (fMRI, magnetic resonance spectroscopy), and non-invasive brain stimulation (transcranial magnetic stimulation) methods. Please see our lab website (https://coe.uga.edu/research/labs/brain-and-action-lab) for more information about research interests and ongoing projects.

We are seeking candidates with a strong interest in human motor control, physiology, psychology, and neuroscience. Strong programming skills, prior research experience with human subjects and/or neuroimaging methods, and strong written and oral communication skills are highly desired. More information about the graduate program and application requirements can be found here: https://coe.uga.edu/academics/degree...trol-learning/

Competitive funding packages are available for exceptional applicants. If you are interested in applying or would like additional information, please reach out to Dr. Deborah Barany at dbarany@uga.edu.
