The Center for Physical Therapy and Movement Science at Emory University invites applications for an open rank faculty position. Appointments are for a 12-month academic year. We seek a scientist with strong research training, a commitment to professional and graduate education, and a passion for innovation. Research focus can be in any area relevant to movement science and/or physical therapy. The candidate should have received a research-focused doctoral degree (PhD), completed relevant post-doctoral research training, and demonstrate a clear commitment to develop and direct a nationally and internationally recognized research program. The successful candidate will contribute to the teaching and mentoring efforts in the Center as well as to the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program in their areas of scientific and/or clinical expertise. Teaching and service requirements will be appropriate to allow the candidate to pursue a rigorous research program. Opportunities for collaboration at Emory and partnering institutions (e.g., Georgia Institute of Technology and Georgia State University) are abundant and expected to uniquely enhance the impact of the candidate’s scholarly pursuits. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Competitive start-up funds accompany this position.
