The College of Health Sciences at Old Dominion University invites applications for the position of Associate Dean for Education & Innovation. We seek an innovative administrator who can provide direction for the development of new educational programing (e.g., online, interprofessional, etc.) to meet the health science workforce needs of today and in the future, as well as supporting and enhancing our current programming. As a newly minted R1 university, we want a visionary to join our team who can synergize our expansive research growth with formal and informal educational opportunities, in concert with our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
We have lots of exciting things happening here at ODU, including a structural reorganization in our College of Health Sciences that will be comprised of a new School of Kinesiology and Health Science, School of Rehabilitation Sciences (which will include programs in physical therapy, occupational therapy, athletic training, and recreational therapy), School of Communication Sciences and Disorders, School of Medical Diagnostic & Translational Sciences, and School of Dental Hygiene. We will be moving into the newly constructed Health Sciences Building on Fall 2023. We are also standing up our new School of Public Health and have a proposed integration with Eastern Virginia Medical School that would lead to the largest academic health sciences center in Virginia, which our College of Health Sciences would be a part of.
