The University of Illinois at Chicago Human and Sport Performance Laboratory (within the Department of Physical Therapy) is looking for a doctoral student beginning Fall 2023 for a fully funded 4-year position. The Department of Physical Therapy is housed within the College of Applied Health Sciences, which is located in the heart of the Illinois Medical District and is a top-ranked program in the United States. The PhD program is within UIC's Applied Health College and is in Kinesiology and Nutrition (https://ahs.uic.edu/kinesiology-nutr...and-nutrition/).
A successful PhD candidate will have a background in kinesiology, biomechanics, athletic training, or another related health field with a passion for helping patients return to activity. Preference will be given to those with an interest or background working with individuals with leg amputation.
