Post-doctoral research fellow opportunity, Birmingham UK
We have an exciting new opportunity to develop a novel diagnostic technique for patients with peripheral vestibular disorders. This research is a collaboration between the University of Birmingham and the nearby Queen Elizabeth Hospital. The purpose is to apply Electrical Vestibular Stimulation (EVS) to patients with peripheral disorders including Vestibular Schwannoma and Meniere’s disease, and compare its diagnostic accuracy with that of the leading alternative tests. The post-holder will be involved in all aspects of the research, including patient recruitment, data acquisition and analysis, and preparation of publications. This would suit somebody with a background in biology, neuroscience or audiology, but we will consider those with an engineering background. Experience in Matlab would be beneficial. For further details, please see the link below, and/or contact the PI, Dr Raymond Reynolds (r.f.reynolds@bham.ac.uk). Application deadline 3rd May 2023.
