The Center for Injury Biomechanics at Virginia Tech is recruiting highly motivated individuals who want to pursue a master’s and/or PhD in Biomedical Engineering or Engineering Mechanics with a focus in human injury prevention.
The lab you will be joining focuses on developing and using finite element models of the human body to study injury risks in automotive and aerospace loading scenarios.
Previous and ongoing projects have involved working with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTA), National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), and the Global Human Body Models Consortium (GHBMC).
