    novel inc. is looking to fill the Client Applications Engineer position as soon as possible. Below are some descriptions of what education, skills, and qualifications we are looking for, but most important is that we are looking for the right fit for our team. We are looking for an engaged, inquisitive, forward thinker with great interpersonal strengths and written and verbal communication skills. The successful candidate will have a strong interest in interacting with all parts of the biomechanics community and beyond.

    Candidate Qualifications:
    • Able to think through a problem from start to finish while asking detailed questions throughout the process.
    • Works well in a small team environment.
    • Degree in biomechanics related field (engineering, PT, exercise/health science, etc.).
    • Experience with technology.
    • Proficient with a Windows operating system (hardware, drivers, installation of components).
    • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
    • Able to travel within and outside of the United States.
    • Willingness to perform duties required by someone working for a small company (e.g. book your own travel, organize your own space and time, work independently, etc.).
    • Friendly and willing to build professional relationships that involve trust and accountability.
    • Significant interest in the product development process including conceptual to real world testing of alpha, beta, and finished hardware and software.
    • Interest in web and social media development.

    Daily Responsibilities: Each day is different, and this is just a sample of what may occur!
    • Interaction with all levels of novel inc. client base – lay people, students, researchers, directors, professors, clinicians, etc.
    • Provide support (phone, email, web conferencing) and training to novel inc. clients for new and existing equipment and applications.
    • Documentation of support processes for future reference.
    • Documentation of new applications and product (hardware/software) requirements not currently met.
    • Interaction with novel inc. and novel gmbh teams for product planning.
    • Interaction within the biomechanics field and beyond for knowledge of current research, developments, and trends. Includes national and international scientific conferences.
