I am seeking students with research interests to pursue Ph.D. degrees starting in Spring or Fall of 2024 at the University of Georgia in the areas of brain mechanics and neuroscience.
Our interdisciplinary research projects will put our trainers in an excellent position to advance brain health and provide broad engineering and science training in: biomechanics, neuroscience, network theory, computational modeling, quantitative modeling, neuroimaging, control theory, machine learning, and preclinical models.
Qualified candidates are expected to have a master degree (preferred) or bachelor degree in Engineering or Bioinformatics. Students with any experience in finite element analysis, machine learning, computational coding, neuroimaging acquisition and processing, and In vivo experience with mouse/pig are strongly encouraged to apply.
