  • Two Graduate Student Positions In Movement Neuroscience at the University of Massachusetts Amherst

The Movement Neuroscience Laboratory (MNL) at the University of Massachusetts Amherst is hiring 2 graduate students for a Fall 2024 start. We are looking for qualified and interested candidates for either older adult/Parkinson’s disease or for concussion research projects. Both positions have funding and tuition waivers! Beyond the traditional routes (e.g., BS/A to MS; MS to PhD), the UMass Department of Kinesiology offers a BS to PhD degree path as well. The MNL is in the Department of Kinesiology, housed in the School of Public Health & Health Science at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. We collaborate in research across the Amherst campus, as well as with the UMass Chan Medical School in Worcester, MA.

For additional details about the MNL and our work visit the lab website: sites.google.com/umass.edu/mnl

    Preferred Qualifications:
    Programming skill (MATLAB)
Experience with Optical Motion Capture (QTM) or Inertial Measurement Units
    Experience with data collection/processing
Interest and experience in interdisciplinary and translational research

Please contact sphhsgradapply@umass.edu for general UMass graduate admission questions. For specific inquiries about the positions and research opportunities, contact details can be found on the lab website.

Application reviews will start immediately following the December 1 priority deadline until positions are filled.
