  • Post-Doc Position in Footwear Biomechanics at UNC Chapel Hill

    The Applied Biomechanics Laboratory with the Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill invites applications for a postdoctoral position to help lead an ongoing industry-sponsored project on the effects of footwear on orthopedic and older adult consumers. The successful candidate would lead a collaborative team of industry and academic partners, oversee quarterly data collections, evaluations, and project reporting on new-to-market products, and take intellectual lead on developing new research directions. To support this role, the applicant will have access to a state-of-the-art equipment and facilities, including quantitative motion analysis, electromyography, force-sensing treadmill, in vivo imaging, and wearable sensors. Our laboratory is uniquely positioned in the UNC/NCSU Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering (bme.unc.edu), which integrates the exceptional strengths of the UNC Chapel Hill College of Arts & Sciences and School of Medicine and the NC State University College of Engineering. Together, this facilitates meaningful and productive collaborations between scientists, engineers, and clinicians and offers tremendous opportunities for professional development.
