Two Funded Ph.D. Positions in Control, Signal Processing, or Biomechanics at the UNC/NC State Joint BME Department
The Neuromuscular Rehabilitation Engineering Laboratory (NREL) within the UNC/NC State Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering invites applications for two research assistant positions to develop and evaluate wearable robotic assistive devices, which are used to enhance user functionalities.

Required Qualifications
- A BS or MS degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Biomedical Engineering or related fields.
- Research experience and course work in rehabilitation, robotics, signal processing, and biomechanics.
- Excellent communication and coding skills.
- Willing to work with people with disabilities.
- All requirements posted by the department
- Experience with motion capture systems
- Experience with patients with disabilities
- Hands on experience in designing and testing mechatronic systems
- Records of peer reviewed publications
