The IDEA Lab at the University of Alberta (PI: Milad Nazarahari) has an urgent two-year postdoctoral fellowship position.
Funding: Positions are funded for two years in the Mechanical Engineering Department.
Position Title: Design and Development of a Robotic System for Upper Limb Rehabilitation.
Project Description: Robotic systems can actively assist individuals with severe impairment during repetitive therapy exergames (i.e., exercise games) while tracking kinematic and kinetic data. However, the existing systems are bulky, expensive, and difficult to operate. Thus, we aim to develop an affordable and portable robotic system (hardware and software) to deliver cost-effective personalized upper extremity rehabilitation following a neurological or musculoskeletal disorder.
