Postdoc and Junior Research Fellow Positions
At The BioRobotics Institute (Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies - Pisa, Italy) we are looking for postdocs and junior research fellows to be part of our research activities. Located in the marvelous setting of Tuscany, we strive for advanced education, frontier research, and innovation.
The MusculoSkeletal Expansion
In the Textile Robotics Lab at the Artificial Hands Area, we drive the development of the ERC-funded project MUSE – the MusculoSkeletal Expansion – an unprecedented osseointegrated assistive exosuit designed to enhance upper limb motion. We investigate novel actuation technologies, seamless human-machine interfaces, and groundbreaking sensory feedback strategies as we aim to empower individuals affected by sensorimotor impairments. Your contribution to this project will be pivotal as we envision a world where technology deeply intertwines with the human body to restore independence to those in need!
Research Topics
We will open new positions in the coming months covering the following topics:
- Exoskeletons and Exosuits
- Rehabilitation Robotics
- Upper Limb Prosthetics
- Sensory Feedback
We are looking for candidates with a PhD (postdoc) or an MSc Degree (junior research fellow) in the fields relevant to BioRobotics - e.g., Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Neurosciences, etc.
A proven track record in (one or more of) these fields is desired:
- Mechanical Design and Mechatronics
- Robotics Control
- Wearable Technologies
- Sensors and Actuators Design
- Signal Processing and Machine Learning
- Electronic Hardware and Firmware Design
