A Postdoctoral Researcher position is available in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) to study natural environment biomechanics in patients with knee osteoarthritis and ones recovering from ACL reconstruction surgery. This postdoc will be advised by Eni Halilaj and work collaboratively with CMU students and clinicians from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. We are looking for candidates with background in one or more of the following areas and desire to expand in at least one new area as part of their postdoctoral training:
  • experimental biomechanics
  • biomechanical modeling
  • wearable sensing
  • deep learning
  • computer vision
  • medical imaging
The candidate should have a doctoral degree in engineering, computer science, kinesiology, or related field. This is a one-year position, with the opportunity for renewal.
