  • Assistant Professor of Kinesiology

    Centenary College of Louisiana invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level in the Kinesiology Department beginning August 2024. This is a new academic program and we are seeking candidates who are excited to grow and shape the department.

    This position requires teaching and scholarship in kinesiology. Priority will be given to candidates with an interest in biomechanics or related disciplines. Candidates must be able to teach Biomechanics, as well as other lower- and upper-level undergraduate courses in Kinesiology, such as Exercise Assessment and Prescription and General Wellness. Candidates should also appreciate and take advantage of the connections possible at a liberal arts institution and be passionate about involving undergraduate students in their research. A Ph.D. in Kinesiology or other appropriate field is required.

    Opportunities for collaborative research exist at the nearby Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, there are excellent funding opportunities, and the College has a high success rate in securing funds for teaching and research.
