We seek an exceptional student interested in neurorehabilitation science research for our Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Science program. The successful applicant will enroll in the Fall 2024 or Spring 2025 semester and work with an academic and clinical team to conduct brain injury, stroke, or spinal cord injury rehabilitation research. The funded research assistant will be able to work with a physical medicine and rehabilitation physician at a top 10 nationally recognized rehabilitation hospital in Lubbock, Texas, U.S.A.
Applicants must have a graduate degree in a rehabilitation science-related area like biomechanics, neuroscience/neurorehabilitation, sensorimotor control, musculoskeletal rehabilitation, clinical anatomy, or other related area.
Our Ph.D. program educates students to become future rehabilitation science educators, scholars, and leaders. It requires approximately four years of full-time face-to-face study focused on developing academic and research emphases in Movement Sciences and Disorders or Communication Sciences and Disorders. The program is ranked the Home 2024 Best Doctorate in Rehabilitation Science program by College Factual.
