    Dear Colleagues,

    The Neurocognitive and Behavioral Development Laboratory (https://nbd-lab.wixsite.com/mysite) at the University of Florida is seeking a highly motivated and goal-oriented applicant for a postdoctoral associate position to lead two NIH-funded research projects focused on aging and dementia risk in adults with autism spectrum disorder. These research projects are conducted through the Department of Applied Physiology and Kinesiology in collaboration with the UF Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (http://card.ufl.edu/), the UF Health Center for Autism and Neurodevelopment (https://autism.psychiatry.ufl.edu/), UF Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) Human Imaging Core (https://www.ctsi.ufl.edu/research/laboratory-services/human- imaging-core/), and the Norman Fixel Institute for Neurological Diseases (https://fixel.ufhealth.org/), providing diverse research and clinical training opportunities. The postdoctoral associate will be part of this multidisciplinary research effort, and will be responsible for:

    Responsibilities
    • Publish scientific results in peer-reviewed journals (2-3 publications per year)
    • Support the PI in grant writing and submission.
    • Supervise research activities within the lab for graduate students regarding human data acquisition, data quality control, data analysis, result interpretation/presentations, and manuscript preparations.
    • Other responsibilities include preparing and developing new research studies, developing laboratory manuals, and participating in lab/research meetings.

    Requirements:
    The candidate will have a Ph.D. in Psychology, Neuroscience, Kinesiology, Health Science, or related fields. The candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, be strongly motivated, and work well in a team setting. Experience with computer programming is a plus (MATLAB or Python).

    Preferred Qualifications:
    Experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Human biomechanics (EMG, Motion capture, Kinetics)
    • Human brain imaging (MRI, DTI)
    • Demonstrated ability to progress towards an NIH K- award applicant within the first 12 months of position.
