    About the Role

    IAMBIC is looking for a Data Analyst to undertake data collection and analysis for its NSF-funded ML training database. The ideal candidate will be responsible for gathering and analyzing human data from 1000 participants to support our research and business objectives. should have expertise in human data collection and will be responsible for acquiring study participants’ demographic information, foot health, footwear history, foot images and video. The position requires 30 hours per week commitment with in-person data collection at the IAMBIC office.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Implement data collection strategies to gather human study participants’ foot image, video, health, footwear history and preferences accurately and efficiently.
    • Recruitment of participants through appropriate channels.
    • Perform data cleaning, preprocessing, and validation to ensure data integrity and quality
    • Ensure compliance with ethical standards and data privacy regulations throughout the data collection and analysis process.
    • Applying relevant statistical and clustering techniques for analysis and create reports and visualizations to communicate findings and insights to stakeholders

    ​Requirements
    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
    • Minimum 1 year of experience in data collection, analysis, and interpretation, preferably in a research or business setting.
    • Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., R, Python, SPSS) and data visualization tools.
    • Excellent communication skills and is comfortable interacting with study participants from diverse demographics and backgrounds.

    ​Nice to Haves
    • Knowledge of survey design and implementation.
    • Certification in data analytics or related fields.
    • Certification in human subject trials or data collection.
