We recently posted a job for a bioengineer to run the movement lab at the Children’s Therapy Unit in Puyallup, WA (just outside of Seattle). The candidate would be responsible for running and maintaining all lab equipment (markerless and marker-based mocap, wireless emg, force plates, metabolic consumption, pedobarograph), processing data, generating reports, reporting results, and collaborating with clinical stakeholders (physical therapists, surgeons, specialists, etc.). Responsibilities include assisting in the acquisition, development, implementation, maintenance, and quality assurance of technologies used as clinical or research tools of motion analysis, (kinematic, kinetic, surface electromyography (SEMG) and metabolic); report generation; and participation in pediatric motion research. This position requires a significant level of independent decision making, accuracy, and teamwork. This position works closely with the PT Manager, Medical Director and Therapy Director to develop strategic priorities and vision for the lab.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomechanics or Kinesiology
- Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum five (5) years experience, Motion analysis research experience
