    We recently posted a job for a bioengineer to run the movement lab at the Children’s Therapy Unit in Puyallup, WA (just outside of Seattle). The candidate would be responsible for running and maintaining all lab equipment (markerless and marker-based mocap, wireless emg, force plates, metabolic consumption, pedobarograph), processing data, generating reports, reporting results, and collaborating with clinical stakeholders (physical therapists, surgeons, specialists, etc.). The position is ready to be filled ASAP.

    FTE: 1.0, Shift: Day, Schedule: Monday through Friday - 8 hour days, within the hours of 8am - 6pm.


    Position Summary

    This is an advanced level position providing clinical management and technological oversight of the movement/ research lab. Responsibilities include assisting in the acquisition, development, implementation, maintenance, and quality assurance of technologies used as clinical or research tools of motion analysis, (kinematic, kinetic, surface electromyography (SEMG) and metabolic); report generation; and participation in pediatric motion research. This position requires a significant level of independent decision making, accuracy, and teamwork. This position works closely with the PT Manager, Medical Director and Therapy Director to develop strategic priorities and vision for the lab.

    Requirements
    • Bachelor’s degree in Biomechanics or Kinesiology
    • Master’s degree preferred
    • Minimum five (5) years experience, Motion analysis research experience

    Pay and Benefit Expectations

    We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $86,944.00 - $125,091.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.​
