A new PhD student position in Biomedical Engineering (BME) is available at the BioDynamics Laboratory directed by Dr. Zhou at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) for the fall of 2025. The lab’s research is focused on human biomechanics, wearable robotics and exoskeletons, digital human modeling, and personalized medicine.

Research Focus:

The successful candidate will work on projects involving design, control, and evaluation of wearable robots (exoskeletons) for rehabilitation and human performance augmentation.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate shall have good background in at least one of the following areas:​
  • Human biomechanics
  • Wearable robots
  • Robot control and simulation, mechatronics
  • Machine learning, reinforcement learning
  • BS/MS degree in engineering (biomedical/mechanical/computer), MS preferred.
