Responsibilities include performing original research, literature review, review of case material, accident reconstruction, and report preparation. The research statement should highlight previous work experiences that prepare the candidate for the aforementioned responsibilities. An ideal candidate is as follows:
- has experience and/or particular interests in traumatic injury biomechanics and/or accident reconstruction;
- has working knowledge of the laws of physics, solid mechanics, and kinematics theory;
- is self-starting, detail-oriented, and takes pride in their work;
- has the ability to work under minimal supervision; and
- has excellent interpersonal communication skills and work habits.
