    Position 1: Research Graduate Assistantship in Neuromechanics Lab
    The Neuromechanics Laboratory at Boise State University invites applications for one Research Graduate Assistantship (9-month term) starting in the Fall 2025 semester. We are seeking motivated students with a keen interest in studying neurological diseases in elderly adults, particularly Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and neuropathy patients.

    The selected Graduate Assistant (GA) will lead a home-based exercise study with Alzheimer’s patients, collaborate closely with the Alzheimer’s Association in the Treasure Valley, and work alongside multidisciplinary research teams across campus. The Neuromechanics Laboratory is housed within the Center for Orthopaedic & Biomechanics Research.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • An undergraduate degree in kinesiology, exercise science, biomechanics, neuroscience, engineering, or a related field.
    • Experience in conducting human subjects research.
    • Familiarity with biomechanics lab instrumentation, including motion capture systems, force plates, EMG, IMUs, fNIRS and MATLAB coding experience are a plus.

    Additional Opportunities:
    A project-based stipend or summer salary may be available based on the principal investigator’s (PI) funding, the student’s performance, and their agreement to participate in specific projects.

    Position 2: Graduate Assistantship in Kinesiology
    The Department of Kinesiology at Boise State University is offering a Graduate Assistantship (9-month term) starting in Fall 2025. The GA will have teaching and research responsibilities within the Biomechanics/Neuromechanics domain.

    Primary Responsibilities:
    • Teaching KINES 371, the undergraduate biomechanics laboratory course.
    • Assisting with data collection, processing, and analysis for research studies.
    • Supervising undergraduate interns in the Neuromechanics Lab.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • A strong interest in biomechanics and an undergraduate degree in kinesiology, exercise science, biomechanics, neuroscience, engineering, or a related field.
